According to the history, in early eighteenth century, a large group of devotees (Munis) gathered from different parts and participated in mass prayers near river Krishna. They called this place as Muni Koti Puram (large group of devotees represents koti munis). After being called with the same name for almost 500 years, this village name is changed to Munnangi many years back.

Government Hospital (2015) Sri Ariga Koti Reddy garu and his family has donated land for Government Hospital in Munnangi. Government has constructed a hospital near the lake (Cheruvu) and this is helping the needy poor people.
CC Roads - All over Munnangi (2007) Sri Ariga Koti Reddy garu and his family has donated approximately Rs. 35 Lakhs for Cement roads in Munnangi. With the help of Government funds, they were able to complete majority of the roads.
Health Camp (2007) Sri Bonthu Pitchi Reddy has arranged free health camp and various doctors from Guntur and Tenali came to Munnangi and saw patients. Mr. Pitchi Reddy has donated money for medicines and it benefited several poor people.
Puttalamma (2011) Dr. Alla Srinivasa Reddy (NRI) has donated money for Venugopala Swamy Temple and Puttalamma Temples.
Library New Building (2007) Smt. Meka Hima Bindu (NRI) D/O Bonthu Pitchi Reddy has contributed money for new building for Library.
Electrical Substation (2006) Sri Ariga Koti Reddy has donated the land for the Electrical Substation. This solved low voltage issues and power cuts to Munnangi.
CC Road (2006) Smt. Meka Hima Bindu(NRI) D/O Bonthu Pitchi Reddy has contributed money for CC Road from houses of Sri Ariga Koti Reddy to Sri Pamulapati Narapa Reddy.

CC Road near Pallapu Gudi (2005) Mr. Alla Rami Reddy (NRI) S/O Chandra Sekhara Reddy and Mr. Meka Venkata Siva Rami Reddy (NRI) have contributed money for CC Road from houses of Sri Kurapati Srinivasa Reddy to Sri Kallam Srinivasa Reddy(Pallapu gudi bazar) and Guntur ZP NRI Cell has matched the grant.
Cycle Shed at ZP High School (2002) Mr. Alla Rami Reddy S/O Chandra Sekhara Reddy (NRI), Dr. Alla Srinivsa Reddy S/O Koti Reddy (NRI) have donated major share and other NRIs have donated for cycle shed at ZPH School.
TTD Kalyana Mandapam (1995) Sri Ariga Koti Reddy garu and his family has contributed money towards filling part of the lake and preparing the land for TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Munnangi. Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) has constructed Kalyana Mandapam. Poor people could afford the function hall with no cost.
Library (1975) Sri Alla Seshi Reddy has donated, major share in the name of his father Sri Kota Reddy. Other villages also contributed for the Library.
ZP High School (1973) Thanks to MLA Bonthu Gopala Reddy garu for working with AP Government and bringing the school to Munnangi. Sri Bonthu Yella Reddy S/O Venkata Reddy, Sri Bonthu Gopala Reddy S/O Peda Basivi Reddy, Sri Makireddy Venkata Rathna Reddy S/O Lakshma Reddy, Sri Bhimavarapu Subba Reddy, Sri Alla Seshi Reddy S/O Kota Reddy were major contributors and other villagers also contributed to school at their best.
Veterinary Hospital (1965) Sri Bonthu Yella Reddy S/O Venkata Reddy has donated 0.5 Acres of land for Veterinary Hospital and all villagers have donated at their best including Sri Bandi Veera Reddy and Kodanda Ramaswamy devasthanam (Pallapu gudi) were major contributors.
Elementary School (1960) Sri Bonthu Gopi Reddy S/O Venkata Reddy has donated 1.40 Acres for Elementary School and it was built in later 1950s.
Ramalayam - Etthu Gudi (1960) Major contributors for this Temple were Sri Alla Pakeera Reddy, Sri Alla Venkatappa Reddy S/O Peda Kota Reddy, Sri Alla Seshi Reddy S/O Venkata Reddy (Munsab) and other villagers have contributed as well.
Ramalayam - Pallapu Gudi (1960) Major contributors for this Temple were Sri Bonthu Peda Chencha Reddy and Sri Kurapati Appi Reddy S/O Rami Reddy and other villagers have contributed at various levels.
Yogi Vemana Matham Sri Bonthu Gopi Reddy S/O Venkata Reddy has donated 3.5 Acres of Agriculture land and about 20 cents place for Vemana Yogi Matham.
Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu (Amaravathi/Dharani Kota Zamindar) has constructed the temple with Five Temples with single entry (Mukha Dwaram) and he has also donated 200+ acres of land for this temple. This is one of the rare temples with five temples.
